Q. Who is the author of these posts?
A. Tim Condon is a junior at the Univesity of Wisconsin-Eau Claire majoring in International Geography.  He has a strong interest in the techniques aspect of geography as well as the human-environmental interactions which have inherently geographic qualities.  He is also currently a Geospatial Researcher for Mapper LLC based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Q.  What is the purpose of this blog?
A.  The main purpose of this blog is to allow Tim to illustrate the work he has performed in his field work through his Geospatial Field Methods course.  The posts will be formatted as technical reports as desired by the course professor, Joe Hupy.

Activity 4:
Q.  Why do the numbers in Figure 15 have six decimal places.
A.  According to previous blog posts, other groups had trouble when they tried to run the "Bearing Distance to Line" tool.  Apparently, there lines were appearing in the middle of nowhere.  However, after formatting their Excel cells as numbers with six decimal places, they were able to get the tool to run smoothly.  Sometimes ArcGIS is a strange thing and it requires a bit of problem solving.
